About the Guest – Julia Jones
Bottom line growth can be achieved by great individual and team performance. I am 100% convinced that my business acumen, knowledge and experience, and not forgetting my herd, will help all of our learners to be better placed for whatever the global climate throws our way this year, and in the years to come.
Horse-led learning is extremely popular, even if you haven't heard about it before. Equine Facilitated Learning is a specialist skill that requires a multi-talented approach that centre on phenomenological outcomes.
We create an enriched environment based around the basic principles of Kolb's experiential learning model.
The horse relationship is real, unlike actors who play a role for you. Our Herd have open and generous hearts and hold no judgement which is helpful as we learn with what is going on for us in real-time.
We use our vast experience of learning along with the magic of the horses so that you can grow in self-awareness, non-verbal attunement, presence, interpersonal skills and knowledge of others. This beautiful space allows you to work on your comfort zones, trust and boundaries.

About the Guest – Marc Merulla
I started off my experiential learning and facilitation career as a whitewater kayak instructor and sea kayak guide in the company I co-founded called H2O Adventures. Hence the turbulent waters and wicked storms!
I was also teaching wilderness first aid. I taught adventure guides, military personnel, mining companies, Cree first nations groups, and anyone who worked in remote areas across Canada.
My job was to teach them how to keep patients alive and survive in the wilderness until they handed them off to definitive care.
I thrived in making theory more accessible to learners with simulation-based exercises. I was really good at faking wounds and could have probably become an accomplished make-up artist!
Those early years gave me an appreciation for risk management, customer care, health and safety, systems thinking, instructional design, leadership development, teamwork, continuous improvement, networking, sales, and a crazy love for running my own business!
I'm out of space here! So, if you want the story about the near drowning and what happened after, throw me a line!
